Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems per NEC codes and project specifications
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to ensure project timelines are met
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Complete detailed documentation for inspections and compliance reports
- Train junior electricians on best practices and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Chicago metro area
