Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards or code violations and resolve them promptly.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning.
- Educate apprentices and junior staff on safety protocols and proper techniques.
- Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Qualifications
- Valid California Journeyman Electrician License (Apprenticeship licenses considered with 2+ years experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
