Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project status and requirements.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate time logs for payroll.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in New York (or willingness to obtain reciprocity for Virginia work).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Tools: Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Vehicle: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
