Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, connecting outlets, and mounting fixtures under supervision.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics to understand circuit layouts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper tool management and site cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with team members, foremen, and customers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Utilize testing equipment to troubleshoot and verify electrical systems are functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on job sites.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
