Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, devices, and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine wiring layouts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical panels, transformers, and motors.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Work closely with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Use hand and power tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and conduit benders.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical issues clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent state certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical trade school preferred.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Skills: Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and reading blueprints.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
