Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan electrical layouts.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Install and maintain lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Respond to emergency repair calls and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Use hand and power tools effectively to complete jobs efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required; trade school certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain necessary state licensing after training.
