Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems according to applicable codes and standards.
- Inspect electrical systems, apparatus, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Test electrical systems and continuity to ensure they comply with safety codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on residential and commercial properties.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all phases of electrical work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
- Willingness to learn and complete on-site training to obtain required state licensure.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for this role.
