Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Prepare work areas by gathering necessary tools, materials, and safety equipment before commencing tasks.
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform routine inspections and tests on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Install, connect, and test wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers in residential and commercial settings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times, strictly adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Document work performed and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior electrical experience is required. However, general construction or manual labor experience is a plus.
- Driver's License: A valid, clean driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Attitude: A strong desire to learn, a good work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team environment.
