Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform basic electrical tasks under supervision, such as wiring fixtures, replacing outlets, and installing switches.
- Ensure all work is completed in strict compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites.
- Interact professionally with homeowners and business owners to explain technical issues and solutions.
- Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not strictly required.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for reading measurements and calculating loads.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to obtain necessary state licensure and certifications during training.
