Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems, circuits, and wiring systems during night hours.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work is compliant with local Chicago building codes, NECA, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently to minimize downtime for clients.
- Utilize power tools, test equipment, and hand tools to complete job sites to perfection.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Document work orders, time logs, and material usage accurately for billing and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License issued by the State of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, using multimeters, and troubleshooting power distribution systems.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for coordinating with day-shift teams and clients.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces.
