Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations and repairs accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards, NEC codes, and company safety protocols.
- Install, connect, and test electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with day shift supervisors and maintenance teams to document work orders and provide detailed status updates.
- Respond to emergency call-outs during the night shift to resolve critical power issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license required (Nebraska State License).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the night shift.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and confined space entry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
