Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential electrical systems, including panels, lighting, and power distribution.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Respond to emergency call-outs and perform rapid troubleshooting to restore power and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure all work areas adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical layouts and installations.
- Collaborate with day shift supervisors and maintenance staff to coordinate ongoing projects and handovers.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license required (valid in New York State).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and OSHA safety regulations.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
