Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and control wiring in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine layout and installation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults efficiently, even under low-light conditions.
- Ensure all work adheres to strict OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Document all work orders, repairs, and time logs accurately for payroll and reporting.
- Collaborate with day shift supervisors to ensure seamless project handovers and continuity.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman or Master Electrician license required (North Carolina).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Proven track record of working safely and effectively during night shifts.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a technical aptitude for electricity.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (confined spaces, heights).
- Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems is a plus.
