Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local DC regulations.
- Respond to after-hours service calls and emergency repairs efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Document all work orders and time spent accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial or residential electrical work.
- Must be available and willing to work night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Current OSHA 10 or 30 General Industry Certification.
- Reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
