Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics under supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks to high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including job sites and storage areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (trade school certification is a plus but not required).
- Eagerness to learn and a strong desire to pursue a long-term career in electrical work.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to obtain required journeyman licensing within a set timeframe.
