Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/residential properties per NEC and DC regulations
- Diagnose complex electrical issues using advanced testing equipment and blueprints
- Lead emergency response teams for critical power outages and system failures
- Mentor junior electricians and ensure strict OSHA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with architects and engineers on large-scale renovation projects
- Implement energy-efficient solutions for institutional clients
- Manage permits and documentation for District of Columbia electrical work
Qualifications
- Valid DC Journeyman Electrician license (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years commercial/residential electrical experience
- Expertise in blueprint reading and AutoCAD
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR training
- Proven track record with high-voltage systems and emergency repairs
- Strong understanding of DC-specific electrical codes
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with clean record
