Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure full compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to meet weekend deadlines
- Perform safety inspections and maintain OSHA-compliant work environments
- Provide exceptional client service during weekend on-call assignments
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia electrician license (Master/Journeyman level)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical installation/repair experience
- Proven expertise with industrial, commercial, and residential systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and local DC building codes
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions on-site
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training
- Reliable weekend availability and flexible scheduling
- Clean driving record and valid DC driver's license
