Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, equipment operation, and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Operate basic tools: hammers, saws, shovels, and power washers under supervision
- Support demolition, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
- Participate in team briefings and follow project specifications
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and repetitive tasks
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measuring materials
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Columbus area
