Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with daily construction tasks
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools safely under supervision (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment as needed
- Read basic blueprints and follow verbal instructions from supervisors
- Participate in physical tasks including lifting, digging, and material handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, heights)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across LA County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Strong work ethic and punctuality are non-negotiable
