Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and grading land to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (wood, concrete, steel) using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment under the supervision of experienced crew members.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to prevent accidents and delays.
- Team Support: Collaborate closely with carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience in manual labor is accepted.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required for site transportation.
- Work Ethic: A strong willingness to learn, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and in various weather conditions.
- Experience: No prior construction experience is required; we provide the training you need to succeed.
