Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the best installation methods.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC/DC Code).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Utilize various hand and power tools, including multimeters, conduit benders, and drills.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License issued by the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
