Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, vegetation, and obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using hand trucks, forklifts, or heavy machinery.
- Equipment Support: Assist skilled tradespeople by operating basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- General Labor: Perform general cleanup duties, including sweeping, shoveling, and maintaining a safe and organized worksite.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Assist with Demolition: Participate in light demolition tasks and debris removal as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; on-the-job training provided for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Attitude: A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude toward learning new skills.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Legal Status: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
