Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup operations
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) and light equipment under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized job site conditions
- Read basic blueprints and verbal instructions to execute construction tasks
- Load/unload materials and transport equipment as needed
- Participate in trenching, excavation support, and concrete finishing tasks
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to site supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Charlotte metro area
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within 30 days of hire
