Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsAssist senior electricians with troubleshooting and repairsEnsure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulationsPerform safety inspections and maintain clean work sitesUse hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectivelyDocument work progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in emergency call-out rotations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Louisiana electrician apprentice license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs, and work in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Orleans Parish
- Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., OSHA 10)
