We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Entry Level Electrician Apprentices. At Metro Atlanta Electrical Contractors, we don't just hire electricians; we build careers. Our apprenticeship program offers on-the-job training under the guidance of certified Master Electricians. You will learn everything from residential wiring to commercial panel upgrades. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow and support senior technicians during installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Tool Operation: Learn to safely operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Material Handling: Prepare work areas by organizing tools, cables, and materials efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Basic Installation: Assist in pulling wire, stripping cable, and terminating outlets under supervision.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, explaining the work process clearly.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of fractions and measurements.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and potential overtime.
