Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements
- Identify and resolve electrical issues using diagnostic tools and systematic troubleshooting approaches
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and NFPA 70E standards
- Install conduits, wiring, fixtures, and electrical components under supervision
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Document work activities, maintain equipment logs, and report project progress to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or vocational training is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools (training provided)
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, journeymen license) through company-sponsored training
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
