As an Entry Level Electrician, you won't just be a laborer; you will be an apprentice on a path to journeyperson status. We offer comprehensive training programs and a clear career progression roadmap designed to maximize your earning potential in the electrical industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Provide hands-on support for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects throughout the Detroit metro area.
- Equipment Handling: Load, unload, and set up electrical tools, materials, and equipment safely at job sites.
- Wiring & Installation: Help install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting fixtures, and electrical control systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret basic blueprints and technical diagrams under the supervision of senior staff.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and property owners, answering questions about project status with a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Driver's License: Valid Michigan Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for measurements and calculations.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime when necessary.
- Interest in Trades: Genuine enthusiasm for the construction industry and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
