Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by gathering materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job.
- Perform basic electrical tasks under strict supervision, such as pulling wire, installing outlets, and mounting fixtures.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NFPA 70).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding project timelines and status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills for reading blueprints and safety manuals.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
