Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Provide hands-on support for residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Learn Blueprint Reading: Study and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams under supervision.
- Material Management: Help organize and transport tools, wire, conduit, and other materials to job sites.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic Installation: Assist in pulling wire, stripping insulation, terminating connections, and mounting outlets and fixtures.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and homeowners to explain project progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License: Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to travel to various job sites within the Nashville area.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attitude: A strong desire to learn the trade and a commitment to craftsmanship.
- Skills: Basic understanding of math (fractions, decimals) and general mechanical aptitude.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
