Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under direct supervision.
- Tool Management: Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites, including pulling wire, mounting fixtures, and cleaning up debris.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin to develop the ability to read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to explain work in progress or completed tasks.
- Material Inventory: Assist in checking and ordering necessary electrical supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the trade and a positive attitude are essential.
- Communication: Basic communication skills to understand instructions and work well within a team.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable for daily attendance.
