Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Perform routine tasks such as pulling wire, installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain a North Carolina Electrical License upon completion of apprenticeship.
