Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and tools.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Prepare materials and tools for upcoming projects.
- Document work performed and report any safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be willing to obtain required state licensure and certifications.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of math (fractions, decimals) is preferred.
- Physically able to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed within the electrical trade.
