Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Test electrical systems and components to identify faults or malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding progress and potential issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read technical manuals.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and a willingness to perform manual labor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
