Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components, circuits, and conduits to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Set up job sites, organize materials, and operate power tools and hand tools efficiently.
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures according to local codes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school background is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to various job sites.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work on ladders at heights.
- Basic math skills are essential for calculating measurements and materials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
