Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and tests on electrical equipment to ensure safety and compliance with local codes.
- Install and connect wiring, fixtures, and electrical components according to safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job site.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a background in vocational training or a trade school is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements and reading wire gauges.
- A strong willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
