Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including outlet installation, switch replacement, and lighting fixture setup.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and OSHA safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; vocational training or an apprenticeship is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- A strong desire to learn the trade and obtain a Journeyman Electrician license.
- Basic computer literacy for logging work hours and safety checks.
