Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical panels, wiring, and fixtures.
- Ensure all work strictly adheres to local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, and electrical components according to safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to OSHA safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding project progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and measurement is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to obtain necessary state licensure and certifications within the probationary period.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for learning the trade and working in a team environment.
