Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Shadow and support Journeyman Electricians on residential and commercial job sites to learn installation and repair standards.
- Tool Management: Learn to identify, handle, and maintain electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin training on how to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites, organize materials, and maintain a clean and safe workspace compliant with OSHA regulations.
- Wire & Fixture Installation: Assist with pulling wire, mounting outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures under supervision.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and respecting client properties.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior electrical experience necessary. General labor experience is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of measurements and calculations is helpful.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including potential weekends or overtime.
