Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites efficiently.
- Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and protective coverings.
- Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform basic troubleshooting under direct supervision to identify circuit issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics for measurements and wire sizing.
- Strong willingness to learn and obtain necessary state licensure.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
