Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools
- Install and connect wiring, circuits, and electrical components per code requirements
- Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and NEC standards
- Operate hand/power tools and testing equipment safely
- Document work progress and maintain clean job sites
- Participate in ongoing training programs for skill development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various physical environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., OSHA 10)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional overtime
