Our comprehensive 6-month training curriculum covers safety protocols, blueprint reading, circuit installation, and troubleshooting. No prior technical knowledge required – just bring your eagerness to learn and commitment to safety. Upon completion, you'll earn journeyman certification and qualify for advancement to lead technician roles.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with residential and commercial installations
- Follow OSHA safety standards and electrical code compliance
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under supervision
- Read blueprints and technical schematics
- Use hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Document work orders and project progress
- Participate in weekly skills development sessions
Qualifications
- No experience required – open to career changers and recent graduates
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic math and measurement skills
