Our 6-month apprenticeship combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training under master electricians. Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with residential/commercial electrical installations and repairs
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, and device installation under supervision
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and NYC electrical safety codes
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and properly store tools/equipment
- Document work progress and assist with quality control inspections
- Complete monthly training modules and skill assessments
Qualifications
- No prior electrical experience required – we train from scratch!
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs, and work in confined spaces
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain NYC Electrical Trainee certification
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
- Pass background check and drug screening (industry standard)
