Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential/commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work adheres to NEC and Illinois state electrical codes
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting methods
- Collaborate with senior electricians on complex projects
- Document work progress and maintain safety compliance records
- Assist with emergency electrical repairs during on-call rotations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Illinois electrician's license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided)
- Willingness to travel across Illinois as needed
