Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, stripping cable, and terminating outlets and switches.
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics to understand layout and circuit requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Respond to service calls promptly and professionally to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
- Document work performed and report any safety hazards or material shortages to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; technical trade school certification is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (fractions, decimals) for measurements and calculations.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
