Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and establishing safety zones
- Load/unload materials and operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site prep
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions for task execution
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Perform basic concrete work, demolition, and excavation support
- Operate light machinery (compactors, forklifts) with proper certification
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience or relevant trade certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
