Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including organizing tools and materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Handle basic electrical troubleshooting and component replacement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and measurements is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine willingness to learn the trade.
- No previous experience necessary; apprenticeship programs are available for qualified candidates.
