Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior staff with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Tool Management: Maintain and organize all tools and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety on the job site.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety protocols at all times.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing areas, setting up ladders, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answering questions and maintaining a positive company image.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; trade school certification is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Basic Math: Proficiency in basic arithmetic and measurement.
- Interest in Trades: Genuine enthusiasm for learning the electrical trade and a commitment to long-term career development.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
