Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential properties.
- Perform routine site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and electrical issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Install and connect wiring, fixtures, and control devices according to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are accounted for.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Document work performed accurately in digital logs and time sheets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- No prior experience required; however, a strong willingness to learn and a mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Must possess a valid Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions (climbing ladders, crawling in attics/under floors).
- Basic math skills and ability to read and understand technical specifications.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods.
