Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Perform diagnostic evaluations of pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems
- Follow safety protocols and local building codes for all installations
- Prepare job sites, organize tools, and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Complete accurate service reports and document material usage
- Participate in emergency call-outs after hours (rotating schedule)
- Learn specialized techniques including pipefitting, welding, and system troubleshooting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hand tool proficiency
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to obtain required plumbing certifications within 6 months
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Jose
- Pass background check and drug screening
