Responsibilities
- Assist master plumbers in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Learn to read blueprints and technical schematics
- Perform pipe fitting, fixture installation, and pipe cutting/welding under supervision
- Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshooting with guidance
- Maintain clean and safe job sites following OSHA standards
- Document work progress and inventory usage
- Participate in ongoing skills development workshops
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- No prior plumbing experience required – training provided
